Dias d’Ávila (BA)
The Primary Copper Unit, is engaged in casting and refinement of electrolytic copper under the Caraíba brand, and metallurgy of semi-finished. Located in Dias d’Ávila, at the Camaçari (BA) Industrial Cluster, the plant has 568,032 m² of land, with 90,342 m² of built area. The plant works in casting and refinement of primary copper using the pyrometallurgical process, producing cathodes, Wire Rod, drawn wire, sulfuric acid, oleum, iron silicate and anode sludge, from which precious metals are extracted.
