(01/22/2018) Paranapanema, the largest Brazilian producer of refined copper and copper products, participates in AHR Expo (The International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition). The event starts today (22) in Chicago, United States and lasts until Wednesday (24). The Company’s objective in the event is to follow the global news of the sector and to strengthen the relationship with national and international clients.

“AHR Expo is the largest event in the sector worldwide, a meeting point of the main players in the market, being a reference for trends and launches in the sector. The fair is also a great opportunity to meet with customers around the world and to reinforce the work we have developed over the last few years in the American market,” said Richard Gorian, Paranapanema’s commercial manager.

The fair is one of the most traditional in the world and has been held for 85 years, attracting more than 60 thousand visitors from 150 countries.  Paranapanema will expose its Eluma line of pipes and fittings, a leading Brazilian market brand with strong international participation, used in water heating systems (solar, gas, among others), refrigeration, air conditioning, gas transportation and other applications, manufactured with the superpure copper produced by the company itself.

As an exporter of copper pipes for several countries, Paranapanema has installed capacity of 3,000 tons/month of the product, Brazil being the main consumer market, followed by the Middle East, Europe, South America and North America.

Eluma pipes stand out mainly because they are produced 100% with Paranapanema electrolytic copper, with 99.9% purity. They are fully recyclable and withstand great temperature differences, which gives them greater durability and safety on the premises.

Paranapanema produces three types of copper pipes in its industrial unit in Santo André (SP): plain pipes (rigid and flexible), grooved pipes and finned pipes.

Flat pipes are suitable for refrigeration, air conditioning and general applications segments and are the main Eluma product marketed in Brazil.

On the other hand, inner grooved pipes provide greater efficiency in the thermal exchange, being appropriate for the air conditioning and cooling areas, with the advantage of providing lower energy consumption and reduction in equipment size. While inner grooved pipes have only internal grooves, finials with exclusive Paranapanema technology in Brazil are also grooved externally (fins), ensuring even more efficient thermal exchange for specific applications in the industrial refrigeration sector.

All are manufactured with Cast & Roll technology, the most modern on the market, and in accordance with strict international standards and the most commonly used technical standards for industrial applications. The flat ones are also manufactured by the extrusion process.
