(08/10/2015) In June, Paranapanema started to lead the ranking of the largest exporters companies in Bahia, with a US$ 478 million motion, 11% of Bahian exports. With an adaptable model of business according the internals and externals demands, Paranapanema search always its products to the markets that have best conditions. Therefore, between January and July, Paranapanema’s exports increased in Bahia, growing 75% over the same period last year.

This increase also impacted the containers’ number used by the company in Tecon of Bahia’s Port: only in June, were moved 717 containers to transport products Paranapanema abroad, consolidating the company as one of the largest Bahian port users.

In sequence of exporters’ ranking in Bahia comes Bahia Sul Celulose, with US$451 million in sales to the foreign market, followed by Braskem, Petrobras and Ford. Despite the performance of foreign sales have improved in July, a result of dollar’s rise between January and July 2015, nine of ten largest exporters of Bahia suffered a drop in its exports.
