Paranapanema is a model in Corporate Governance in Brazil
The company ranked 14th in the list of the top 100 in 2016

(12/05/2016) For the third consecutive year, the AméricaEconomia publication, in partnership with consulting firm Delta Economics & Finance discloses, exclusively, a ranking that lists the best companies in the Corporate Governance Index (IGC100) in Brazil.
The ranking, led by retailer Renner and then the meat processor Marfrig, had 13 new companies on its list, and, among them, is Paranapanema, which was classified in the 14th position, being one of the best among the 100 listed.
The publicly held companies with the highest trading volumes on the BM & FBovespa were analyzed in seven dimensions, in which 75 variables related to good governance practices were assessed.
Corporate governance is the system by which businesses and other organizations are directed, monitored and encouraged, involving relationships between shareholders, management board, board of directors, supervision and control agencies and other stakeholders.
