PARANAPANEMA EXPOSES A LINE OF COPPER PRODUCTS FOR CONSTRUCTION AT FEICON 2015

The company will demonstrate live the welding of Eluma brand copper tubes and connections

(03/10/2015) Paranapanema, Brazil’s major copper producer, will participate in the 21st edition of Feicon/Batimat, a reference event for the construction sector in Latin America, displaying all lines of copper products and Eluma brand alloys, a pipe portfolio in civil and industrial construction.

During the days of the fair, which takes place from March 10 to 14 at Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion, in São Paulo, Paranapanema will also perform every two hours the welding of Eluma parts, live, in order to emphasize the convenience and simplicity of product installation.

In Brazil, Paranapanema supplies about 75% of copper pipes for direct consumption, especially for hot water, gas and firefighting systems. Additionally, the company supplies cooper products and alloys to the leading manufacturers of electrical conductor and connector, air conditioning and cooling systems, sanitary metals, and others. The construction sector is one of the most important markets for the company having represented about 27% of the company’s net revenue in 2014, which totaled R$ 4.7 billion.

HIDROLAR® Copper Pipe Line
HIDROLAR® copper pipes are rigid, seamless, manufactured by the extrusion process and then calibrated in commercial diameters by drawing. They are manufactured in compliance with ABNT-NBR 13206 standard. Three classes are offered according to the application:

• CLASS E – indicated for cold and hot water, gas, firefighting systems (hydrant and sprinklers).
• CLASS A – suitable for all applications of class E pipes, as well as fuel and medicinal gas systems.
• CLASS I – can be used in all applications of class A pipes, as well as in medium and high pressure industrial and hospital premises.

FLEXIBLE Copper Pipe Line
The FLEXIBLE copper pipes are produced from an innovative concept for the P2P system, not requiring welding, with lower loss of load and generating savings by reducing the number of connections. They are applicable in fuel gas and cold and hot water distribution systems. Its production complies with ABNT-NBR 13206 standard.

SOLAR Copper Pipe Line
SOLAR copper pipes are rigid, seamless, manufactured by the extrusion process and then calibrated in commercial diameters by drawing. The product is used in the manufacturing of solar water heaters, offering safety and durability.

ELUMAGÁS® Copper Pipe Line
The pipes of ELUMAGAS® line are produced seamlessly, through the process of manufacturing similar to that of HIDROLAR® and SOLAR pipes, receiving thermal treatment after drawing, thus making them flexible. They are used in gas systems connecting devices (gas meters, canisters, etc.). They are manufactured in compliance with NBR 14745 and NBR 15526 regulations.
