A long queue of trucks loaded with copper concentrate accumulates at the gate of the factory of Paranapanema in the city of Dias D’Avila, near the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex in Bahia. Much of the material is imported from Chile and enters the unit to be melted and refined. In the future, the idea is that this scene is marked by domestic raw materials, with more cost competitive. It is with this goal that the maker of processed copper enters a newa phase.
