(07/07/2016) As tradition, every year, the magazine Exame published a special edition with the 1000 largest companies in Brazil. According to the list in 2016, Paranapanema was classified in 96th position in the general ranking. In the edition of 2015, the Company was 103. In the Steel & Metals sector, the Company currently ranks fifth in sales, third in performance and second in profitability.

Based on export revenues, Paranapanema climbed seven positions. Was 32nd, position it occupied in the 2015 list to 25th in 2016. Paranapanema was not the only one to turn to foreign markets in 2015. The Brazilian economic crisis and the worst of the last metals sector years made branch companies seek to balance the accounts focusing their sales in foreign markets. Basic industries sold until 2014, over 80% of their production to the Brazilian market. It is estimated that half, today, is already being directed outwards.

9th place – in wealth per employee in the steel and metal industry (wealth created per employee)
