ABM WEEK 2016 RECEIVES FOUR TECHNICAL CONTRIBUTIONS OF PARANAPANEMA

The Company's professionals have submitted cases during the Annual Congress and Seminars of Lamination and Wiredrawing

 

(10/13/2016) Sole producer of copper and its alloys participating in the event, Paranapanema was present at ABM Week 2016, held in Rio de Janeiro between September 27th and 29th. The event, promoted by the Brazilian Association of Metallurgy, Materials and Mining, is already regarded as the largest technical-scientific initiative of the mining, metallurgical and materials sectors of Latin America.

Employees that represented Paranapanema were Victor Caso Moreira, Gustavo Tressia de Andrade and Leandro de Almeida, from Utinga, with the cases “Effect of residual iron content in grain size and in the mechanical properties of 70/30 brass”, “Evaluation of the influence of the lamination path in the final grain size” and “Influence of deformity in obtaining the anisotropy coefficient”. From Bahia, participated Bruno de Paulo Silva, Vinícius Matos Quintão and Márcio Fernandes Caria with the case “The effect of oxygen on the properties of electrolytic rod”. The works were presented during the Seminar of Lamination (53rd Edition), Wiredrawing (7th Edition) and in the Annual Congress (71st Edition).

In its three days, ABM Week brought together more than 1200 people, including industry professionals, researchers, teachers, students, companies and suppliers, and it has simultaneous realization of 12 traditional events of ABM: 71st Annual Congress and seminars of Lamination, Steelworks, Reduction, Iron Ore, Agglomeration, Logistics, Energy Balances, Industrial Gases, Automation and IT and Wiredrawing, in addition to the Enemet – National Meeting of Students of Metallurgical, Materials and Mining Engineering.
